What is energy disaggregation?
Also known as NILM (Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring), energy disaggregation technology is a method of identifying and estimating the energy consumption of major home appliances using a single smart sensor or energy data source (eg. Smart Meter).
Our algorithm
The energy consumption measured at the source (typically at the breaker box) is an aggregation of all appliances that are switched on. Our AI algorithm estimates the combination of unique electric waveforms each appliance has, from the ever changing aggregated waveform.
